  • If you don’t see your insurance plan listed above and want to pay out-of-pocket, I’m happy to provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance company to get reimbursed for the cost of therapy.  My private pay rate is $180 for intake appointments ($185 is paying by credit card) and $150 for all following appointments ($155 if paying by credit card). I take private pay through Zelle or credit card transactions and can also accept payment through most FSA or HSA cards.

  • You may be thinking that you have to experience a “crisis” or “mental breakdown” in order to go to therapy, but that’s not the case at all! I believe that therapy can be really helpful for those who want to process past life events that they can’t seem to move forward from, to better understand their thoughts and emotions, and to build coping skills for everyday life. Ultimately, therapy provides an accepting, non-judgmental atmosphere, no matter what is being addressed in session. If you’re not quite sure if therapy is right for you, feel free to reach out to me at eveyshavivi@gmail.com to chat further!

  • In our first session, which will last between 50-55 minutes, I’ll start by briefly explaining a few important policies and procedures. We'll spend time discussing what motivated you to seek therapy at this time, as well as briefly discussing any past experiences with therapy that you may have had. I will also ask some questions about your background - including family of origin, cultural/spiritual background, education and work history, mental and medical health history, and social/relationship history - to help me get a better sense of who you are. I understand that clients can be hesitant to discuss their personal history with their new therapist, so I respect if clients choose not to answer certain questions that I ask in intake sessions or throughout the therapy experience.

  • Each session lasts between 50 and 55 minutes and takes place through a secure, confidential video chat platform. I generally meet with clients weekly, and in some cases, bi-weekly. In the first few weeks of therapy, I generally bring a general question or topic to discuss to session, as clients can sometimes feel intimidated and unsure of what to talk about. After building rapport and acclimating to therapy, I encourage clients to take ownership of their therapy experience by bringing topics to discuss in session. I encourage clients to jot down ideas between session to help create a bridge between what they notice or think about in their daily life and what we discuss in therapy.

  • Of course! I am happy to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call with you before you schedule an intake session. In our consultation call, we can discuss more about what you’re looking for in a therapist, what you’d like to address in therapy, and my therapeutic approach to help determine if we are a good fit to work together. Feel free to contact me at eveyshavivi@gmail.com to schedule a consultation call.
